SANTA AND MRS. CLAUS VISIT ANDERSON CREEK CLUB

Over 120 children were treated to a visit by Santa and Mrs. Claus at Patriot Hall in the Life Long Learning Center at Anderson Creek Club this weekend. Santa parked his sleigh on the golf course and drove to the party in a sporty red golf cart provided by the golf pro shop. Santa had his picture taken with each child and made special notes as to what each one wanted for Christmas.

The Property Owners Association at Anderson Creek hosted the event and the club restaurant provided a breakfast buffet for the kids and adults. Each child received a special gift from Santa and a photo to remember the occasion.

LIFE LONG LEARNING CENTER – GRAND OPENING

Grand Opening for the first LIFE LONG LEARNING CENTER in a gated community, ANDERSON CREEK CLUB. This unique facility appears to be the first of its kind in the nation.

Typically found in a college or university setting, the concept for an on-site facility for the community originated with David Levinson, developer of Anderson Creek Club, who believes that people today have a heightened desire to ensure that not only their children receive a sound foundation for learning and schoolwork but also to expand their own knowledge and experiences beyond their formal education. Residential developments and communities must provide facilities to meet their needs. While Anderson Creek Club may be the first to do so, he believes that other developments in the Fayetteville area will soon do the same, which will be beneficial for everyone.

The new building is divided into three wings housing the development and administration offices, Wonder Years and Patriot Hall.

Wonder Years, operated by Betty Hunnicutt of Fayetteville, NC, is an early care and education program for children from 6 weeks to school age, including pre-school, pre-K and before/after school care for grades K – 5. Summer camps for school aged children and early childhood programs will be provided in a safe, healthy, nurturing environment, while meeting the needs of the children and their families. Wonder Years brings a well-established program that includes:

● Video monitored classrooms ● Safe nurturing environment ● Award winning development programs ● Superior sanitation rating ● Hot meals, including breakfast ● Infant feeding program ● Pre-school and Pre-K curriculums ● Well trained, experienced staff

Patriot Hall is a multi-purpose facility providing a setting for lectures, seminars, continuing education, workshops, book club, guest speakers, educational programs and resources. In addition to the normal activities found in a traditional community center, such as exercise classes, it will also be available for Scouting meetings, banquets, weddings and private parties supported with a full service commercial kitchen.
